Ground-breaking AI conference to be held at ӣƵapp

A ground-breaking conference to explore and discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence will take place at the ӣƵapp in June.

The ‘Greater Manchester One-Day AI Conference – A Consortium of AI Thinkers’ is a one-day event to be held on 7 June, which aims to foster collaboration and innovation across a variety of disciplines.

The theme will be ‘Next Generation Artificial Intelligence’, to discuss emerging AI trends and it will include keynote speeches by esteemed speakers and a panel discussion.

It will also include the launch of the University’s Centre of Intelligence of Things (CIoTH) signalling a significant milestone in AI research and development.

Celestine Iwendi, Research Co-ordinator, at the ӣƵapp’s School of Creative Technologies, said; “The event is a unique opportunity for experts from various disciplines to come together, exchange ideas, and explore synergies in AI research and application.

“Through networking sessions with industry leaders and the Students’ Union, participants will have the chance to forge meaningful connections, potentially leading to impactful partnerships and collaborations.

“The aim is to propel the field of AI forward, to advance innovation and shape the future of artificial intelligence.”

Sam Johnson, Head of the University’s School of Arts and Creative Technologies, said: “The more cross-fertilisation of activity that goes on between Schools the better.”

The conference will take place at the ӣƵapp’s Senate House from 10am.
